What's happening to Vonage and the SMS Industry?
Vonage faced 2 SMS disruptions in 2024:
- May: Selective shutdown affecting non-compliant 10DLC numbers.
- September: Complete SMS outage for all Vonage customers.
- October 31: SMS services were restored for 10DLC compliant numbers.
On December 1, 2024, all major carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) are implementing an industry-wide shutdown of non-compliant 10DLC numbers.
